The Endocrine Surgery department is a newly formed specialty from the Division of General Surgery.  The department was previously named Surgery unit 6.  The specialty came into existence in the year 2003, functioned under Division of Surgery.  In the year 2011, with the introduction of M.Ch Endocrine Surgery, the department became a specialized unit.  The department takes care of patients with benign and malignant conditions of the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, endocrine pancreas and breast diseases.  We work closely with the departments of Endocrinology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiotherapy, Radiology and Medical Oncology.
